Old Tbilisi walking tour. The city offers a great variety of sights, most of them very ancient. All the places of interest in the Old Town are very close to each other, within a few minutes’ walk. Tour starts to Old Tbilisi from Ioane Shavteli street (statue of berikaoba), here on the way you will see legendary tower of the puppet theater and Clock tower Rezo Gabriadze; Anchiskhati Church (6th century) the oldest church in Tbilisi and the second oldest church (after BolnisiSioni) in Georgia. Then we will go down to the Sioni street that is named after the Sioni Cathedral (6th -7th centuries), which is located here. Next to the cathedral you can see a three-story building of the Tbilisi History Museum. And a little bit further on you can see the first tram of Tbilisi and Tamada statue. Then through short pedestrian Charden Street, (Wadding row, Iron Row) we will walk to Metekhi Curch (13th century). Visit the statue of Mother of Georgia (depicts both the whole country and the national character of her people) by cable car and enjoy the views of the Old Town. And walk down to Narikala Fortress also called “the soul and the Heart” (4th century) and Sulphur Baths (Baths are built in the Turkish style) Back to Hotel
